Enlight: Perhaps One of the Best Photo Editors Review
Enlight is a photo editing studio for iPhone and iPad. It’s famous due to its incredible precision and a fine selection of editing tools. It allows you to achieve Photoshop-quality images by simple one-finger operations. You can download Enlight on App Store exclusively for iOS devices.
Functionality – 5/5
Enlight latest version provides a set of tools with brush-in modes. The toolbox includes a variety of customizable filters, the mixer tool that modulates the double-exposure effect, the reshape engine that can change perspective and shapes, and many more. You can combine them to make stunning creative shots.
Design – 5/5
The Enlight app has a minimalistic dark-grey interface. It’s great that developers came up with a dark interface because it’s the best background for editing photographs. The majority of concurrent apps are white, and it makes your eyes get tired and start missing details much faster.
Usability – 5/5
Enlight is very simple in use and lets you achieve surprisingly good results. No matter what kind of photos you want to edit, it can deal with it. For this Enlight review, we tested the instruments on landscapes, portraits, and street photography. If you’re doing landscapes and street shots, you will benefit from powerful light and color adjustments. You can either use default filters (there are dozens of them) or try to make it your own way. Start from tuning exposure, then fix contrast, tune-up RGB levels with curves, and fix sharpness. If you lack particular colors, you can easily add them with a smart, transparent brush or just change brightness in spots. Using the Mixer tool, you can even mix a couple of images to make a wonderful double-exposure effect. If you want to edit portraits and selfies, you will enjoy glossy filters and a special retouch brush. It will help to get rid of anything that can ruin your look.
Cross-platform use – 4/5
You can download and install Enlight only on iOS devices, including iPads and iPhones running iOS 10.0 and later versions. Versions for desktop computers and web browsers haven’t been announced as well. A similar Android app is called Enlight Photofox.
Since 2017 you can download and use the free Enlight app. However, it still includes many in-app purchases, such as all-tools bundle, and unlimited access to features for a limited period. It doesn’t seem to be better than a lifetime subscription that was offered initially.
The Bottom Line
Every tool of the Enlight bundle is gorgeous. It allows you not only to fix photos quickly but also to create impressive artistic projects. It provides top-class customizable filters, flexible color and light adjustments, and even instruments for skin recovery.
Download Enlight to turn your iPhone or iPad into a full-value artistic photo studio.
