Knife Hit: Challenging Knife Quests Review
Knife Hit is an addictive one-button casual quest game by Ketchapp, the authors of 2048, Stick Hero, ZigZag, and many more popular games. In this game, you have to throw knives into a rolling log to score as many points as possible and to crack it with a limited number of knives. You can download Knife Hit on App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices.
Graphics – 5/5
Like all other games by the Ketchapp studio, the Knife Hit game has smooth vector visuals. They are minimalistic and catchy so that you could just rest your eyes while playing. Knife Hit system requirements are very low, so you can play it without any lags on old devices, including the first iPad and iPhone 4.
Gameplay – 4.5/5
Knife Hit full game consists of several hundreds of stages on which you have to use throwing knives to break rotating logs. It’s important to be very precise and avoid hitting your blades and other obstacles that include ledges and metal spikes. Every 5th level is a boss-fight that puts you against a solid armored log. It requires you to come up with powerful combinations of knives and be more accurate to avoid losing knives. The more of them you save until the end of a round, the more points you achieve. All active players are displayed on world leaderboards so that you could compare your results. However, it’s quite hard to top the charts because it’s almost impossible to do without VIP subscription bonuses. If your friends play Knife Hit too, invite them via Facebook and compete on everyday friendly challenges.
Controls – 4.5/5
Knife Hit gameplay is based on the one-button game type. It means that you have to tap the screen in any spot to launch knives and hit the log. This action requires you to have a good speed of reaction and attention. Unfortunately, alternative inputs like controllers don’t work in Knife Hit latest version.
Replay Value – 4.5/5
Knife Hit free version includes hundreds of stages and boss levels. If you want to get high scores faster than others, you can purchase the VIP Membership. We compared both bundles for this Knife Hit review, but they appear to be almost the same. If you want some really notable changes, consider getting themed knife-packs. The annoying thing is advertising. Ads pop up after virtually every level. Fortunately, you can get rid of them for $1.99.
The Bottom Line
Knife Hit is an addictive mobile time killer that will entertain you in long queues and while commuting to work in public transport. It’s not good enough to replace all other games on your device but will give you a fun alternative. Too many ads may make your experience not very pleasant, but you can easily solve the problem with the ad-free version or just by playing offline.
Download Knife Hit to have an entertaining small game to play anywhere when there’s nothing else to do.
